Public/private partnerships sought for Valmont Park

BOULDER — The Boulder Parks and Recreation Department is seeking public/private partnerships to develop the new Valmont Park site.

A partnership information packet is available on the Parks Department Web site at bcn.boulder.co.us/boulder/p-r/ and at its offices at 3198 N. Broadway.

Using funds from a 1995 voter-approved bond issue, land was purchased for a 132-acre community park. A concept plans includes visions of multi-use recreational buildings, ballfields, a children’s play area, a bike path, open natural areas and other amenities.
