Program designed to develop employees’ entrepreneurism

BOULDER — Courtney Price and Boulder business owner Mack Davis, founders of Premier FastTrac, have developed Corporate Entrepreneurship Training, a new training program in cooperation with Premier Entrepreneurial Training (PET).

PET’s Corporate Entrepreneurship Training Program is designed to introduce and develop the entrepreneurial spirit within corporate employees. “The potential to positively affect larger companies’ net profits, management systems and marketing efforts by incorporating entrepreneurial training methods is the first of its kind in the nation,´ said Marilynn Force, director of the Boulder Chamber Small Business Development Center.

Price and Davis design and teach each individual program, which is customized by PET to meet the specific needs of the participating firm. In addition, the course takes full advantage of a corporation’s existing human and financial resources to engage in entrepreneurial activities, launch new enterprises, implement new projects and/or generate new revenue.

For the Boulder Small Business Development Center, which focuses on assisting start-up and small businesses, the PET’s Corporate Entrepreneurship Training Program introduces a critical new market. Although the Boulder SBDC essentially will remain unchanged, the development of this new program allows the center to offer training to medium and large corporations as well.
