3 companies to move into Maxim Building

The Maxim Building in downtown Boulder at 1435 14th St. will serve as offices for three area businesses.

The 16,000-square-foot, three-story facility designed by Dan Hunter of The Hunter Group in Boulder is fully leased and will be occupied by AG Edwards, Heritage Bank and the Maxim Financial Group.

The exterior of the craftsman-style building features a pitched roof, buff and rose sandstone, stucco and extensive metal work. A public park is situated on the north side of the building. In the evening, prominent lanterns greet visitors at pedestrian level.

Exterior balconies are featured on the second and third floors of the building. The building interior features craftsman style with rich detail wood trim throughout. Coffered ceilings added to the detailed craftsmanship.

Dan Hunter designed the building in collaboration with Communication Arts. The general contractor for the project was Sim Walker of Walker LM. Developer for the project was Mark McGee of Blue Farm Properties.
