Business Report hires circulation director, ad exec, writer, designer

Three new full-time employees and a new editorial assistant/writer have joined The Boulder County Business Report.

Joseph Chafey has been named circulation director, overseeing all circulation efforts for both The Boulder County Business Report and The Northern Colorado Business Report in Fort Collins. With both papers now publishing biweekly, Chafey will be directing operations to create new retail sales sites and increase paid subscriptions for both newspapers.

Chafey joins The Business Reports from AES Marketing in Fort Collins, where has been circulation director since 1993. Prior to that, he was the group circulation manager for Cahners Publishing Co. in Denver.

Tamara O’Brien joins The Boulder County Business Report as an advertising account executive. Her primary territories are real estate and development, including both commercial and residential, construction, architects, homebuilders and chambers of commerce and economic development groups. O’Brien’s last position was real estate account executive for the Burlington Free Press in Burlington, Vt.

Mark Richert is a new designer for The Boulder County Business Report. Richert joins BCBR after working as an assistant art director and freelance graphic artist in New York. He also was a computer presentation artist for Nextwave Productions in New York.

Joining the editorial staff of BCBR is Anjanette Mudd, who will be a part-time editorial assistant and writer. Mudd, who recently graduated from the University of Colorado with a journalism degree, has been working for BCBR as a news intern.

This summer, Mudd completed a study/research program in Bocas del Tora in Panama.
