Xcel Marshall Fire trial off as settlement reached
Details of $640M agreement remain murky
A trial set to begin Thursday involving Xcel Energy Inc. (Nasdaq:XEL) and thousands of plaintiffs who had accused the electricity utility of playing a role in the start of the 2021 Marshall Fire is officially off, court records show, as a judge signed an order to vacate the class-action lawsuit late Wednesday following a settlement between the parties.
